Coronavirus Travel Updates
Due to the ongoing Coronavirus situation, Norad Travel has taken the decision to monitor all travel requests received for routes for the foreseeable future. If we receive requests for travel it will be part of our duty of care to the company that we will flag to the appropriate person within the company for additional approval.
If you DO NOT want us to implement this procedure for you please This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
We have an interactive map now which enables all data points to be collated throughout the world and from the relevant authorities in respect of the current pandemic situation and any levels of quarantine that may apply. You can check on our interactive map for further details. We are also advising all of our clients that travel policies they were utilising previous to the Pandemic may need to be relooked at and we have a host of Restarting for Business models available. Please contact the team for more information.
As part of our crisis management response we are monitoring the situation constantly and checking our traveller lists for any travel plans to areas affected by the Coronavirus that have already been booked and will be in touch with those travellers/companies. We are also able to provide full data on any travel already taken since the outbreak began. If you require a list of your company's recent travel movements, please do get in touch.
As this situation is ever evolving we recommended that you keep a check on the government travel advice in your area for the latest updates. The UK Foreign Office offers travel advice which is updated regularly on their website and the World Health Organisation has advice for travellers who are in or have visited affected areas.
If you are due to travel to an area that is affected by the virus and would like to monitor if your flight is operating you can find up to date information here, or via the airline website.
Please be aware that if you have a restricted ticket and you decide not to travel the fare rules on your ticket will be upheld by the airline involved unless they have issued a specific waiver policy at the time of cancellation. Please contact us during normal office hours if you would like to check on a waiver policy or have any questions relating to travel to affected areas. We would request you only contact our out of hours team during an emergency when you are travelling and not to check the latest advice on the situation. The office is open Monday to Friday 0830 – 1800 and outside of these hours the out of hours teams would be on duty.
